COMPLAINTS FROM FORMOSA. DISTURBANCES THREATENED. REINFORCEMENTS FOR KOREA. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received February 6, 5.5 p.m. TOKIO, February 4. M Rinkendo, a prominent Formosan, speaking at a public meeting here, declared en his honour that Formosa was threatened with a disturbance as serious as those occurring in Korea. The Formosans believed that the Japanese were attempting to enslave them. M. Rinkedo presented a petition to the Diet, asking for the reorganisation of the. Japanese administration in Formosa. General Tanaka, Minister for War, announce;! that Japan intends to reinforce the garrison in Korea with another division of Oppositionists.
