Opening of Hall. The Tc Uku Soldiers’ Memorial Hull was formally opened on Sunday last, in the presence of a large crowd. The proceedings look the form of a combined religious service (Congregational and Ai glican ), commencing with hymns amt player, followed by an address and the unveiling of a roll of honour by Bcv. Canon McFarland. An address was given by Bcv. A. M. Costan. The hall was prettily decorated with nikau and Mowers. Mr Thomas, manager at Tc Aruba for the Northern Steamship Company, lias received notice of his transfer to j Auckland.
