Mr G. E. MacGormick, Judge of the Kative Land Court, has returned loom ji visit to England. Mr W. T. Goodwin, officer in charge of the lire blight area in the Auckland province, is visiting the Hamilton district. Mr E. A. Watkin, 8.A., of the Hamilton High School staff, is joining the stuff of the Southwell School. He will take up his duties in February. Sir William Berries, Minister of Native Affairs, Labour, Customs and Marine, is still a patient at Bowen Street Hospital, but is progressing satisfactorily, and expects to resume bis duties after Christmas.

Mr W. lies, the professional golfer, %v!io has been attached to the Chrislthurch Golf Club for several years, Jias left for Melbourne, where he will take up duties with Mr J. H. Kirkwood, tha Australasian professional champion, who recently visited New Zealand, cl the Hiversdale Club.
