The following Barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, arc kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:— Thermometer. Max. Min. Wednesday ... 71 51 Thursday .... 72 55 Barometer. Thursday 29.90 Friday 29.95 Yesterday was partly fair, light rain falling late in the day, and continuing during the night. Winds were northerly. The barometer maintains its last reading, indicating a slight increase of pressure. The indications are for improved weather conditions. To-day will probably continue showery, with light northerly winds, backing to a southerly direction, followed by fair weather and cooler nights. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but northerly moderate to strong prevailing. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Rain probable. Barometer unsteady with a falling tendency.
