PUKEMIRO COAL DISPUTE
ANOTHER HITCH. Bv Telegraph—Special to Times. HUNTLY, Monday. No intimation that the terms of the settlement of ttie Pukemiro dispute have been endorsed by the secretary of the New Zealand Miners' Federation, Mr J. Arbuckle, has yet been received by the Pukemiro Miners' Union. It is stated that as the endorsment by Mr Arbuckle of Hie agreement was a condition attached to the resolution to place the matter in the hands of Mr P. daily fio' negotiation, the men will not return to work'to-day as was anticipated. A meeting of the union will be held at the mine to consider the position. This means that even if Mr Arbuckle's approval to the agreement is received no work will be done before to-morrow. WORK EXPECTED TO-MORROW. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, Monday. The secretary of the Coalminers' Federation has wired the endorsment of the Pukemiro settlement, and it is expected that the miners will resume work to-morrow.
