WEEKLY MARKET REPORT. The Farmers* Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Hid., report: Beef. —There is a steady demand for prime duality beef, although it is considered by many that tire limit in value lias been reached. The quantity offering, however, is limited, and tins fact rather Indicates that present prices will be maintained for some time yet. .Mutton. —Prime mutton is also meeting with a ready sale, but second quality which scorns in abundance meets with lull poor competition. Store Cattle.—The store cattle market has considerably advanced, although it lacks Hie vim that has distinguished it in the early spring ol previous vears. Possibly Hits may >ct he witnessed, but results so far arc disappointing. There is a good enquiry for' grown bullocks, which are nut. plentiful. There is also a strong demand for good framed cows in forward condition. Two-year cattle, and yearlings suffer considerable fluctuations, and it is difficult to clcarlv determine wTiat the actual tendency is. Store Sheep.—Tire store sheep market, is very unsettled, which, considering the present outlook, is not to be wondered at. There seems to be a general opinion that the increased value of export lambs will compensate for Hie wool and mutton deficiency, and ttiis feeling is no doubt responsible for Hie fair values obtained for ewes with good lambs at foot. Other classes of store sheep arc not in demand, nor arc they much in evidence. There is some enquiry for wethers off shears, but so far without definite result.
