PANIC IN CUBA
OVER FALLING SUGAR PRICES. LARGE WITHDRAWALS FROM BANKS STOCK EXCHANGE SUSPENDED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) HAVANA, October 10. Due to the falling sugar prices, the International Bank of Cuba, with a capitalisation of 10,000,000 dollars, lias rrovisionally suspended payments. Depositors with other hanks are taking fright and have also made large withdrawals. The Havana Stock Exchange has temporarily suspended operations.
