CRIPPLED GERMANY

LACK OF TOWING EQUIPMENT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 8, 10.55 a.m. BUENOS AIRES, October 7. A German shipyard firm has informed the Argentine Government that it would be unable • to -deliver the 40,000 ton floating dry dock which it undertook to construct before the war. The dry dock is completed, but the shipyard lacks the towing equipment with which to bring it to Buenos Aires. The company has asked the Government either to supply its own towing or to accept a refund of the money paid on account.
