Messrs Alfred Dockland and Sons reporl as follows: —This day at our w eekly West held fat stock market our supply 'of fat cattle totalled 87 1 head, comprising ‘i ll) steers. IJO cows and heifers, and G hulls. There was a steady demand at last week's reduced rales. Extra choice ox sold to £2 Its per iUPIh: choice and prime ox, £2 7s to £2 10s; ordinary and plain, £2 2s to £2 ss; rough heef. £1 5s to £J Ids; cow and heifer beef, £1 15s to £2 Bs. Steers ranged in price from £2l 10s to £2B for extra heavy prime steers from Mr W. H. Wright,' Otaua: £lB lbs to £22 lbs for heavy steers; lighter prime steers. £i'i 10s lo £l7 10s: plain ligul and unfinished steers, £8 10s to £Ui 10s; extra heavy cows. £1 i 10s to £lB 17s (Id for a cow from Mr It. 11. Nicholson. Ngaruawahia: heavy cows. £l2 to £11: lighter fat cows, £0 lo £ll 10s; other cows. £5 to £8 10s.
