FRENCH LINER SEIZED. THE PASSENGERS ROBBED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received May 1 J, 8.40 p.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, May 11. During a pirate raid on Batoum 15 men, hidden in the French liner Souirah, suddenly appeared on the decks, and took control of the ship. Firing revolvers they drove the passengers to their cabins, and stripped them of their money and valuables. They then forced the" captain to land them near Trebizond, and escaped before a wireless could bring up a' French destroyer. A number of Americans engaged in relief work were aboard.the Souirah.
