i THE MEN'S GRIEVANCES. CONSIDERATION BY MINISTER. MANY REQUESTS GRANTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister of Public Works, in conference wilh the Public Works .Men'.- Committee, said that such demands as a ii-hour week and increased wages must go before Cabinet. He woulfl sec the Engineer on the oilier points shortly. The housing accommodation was settled and the sanitary arrangements will be improved. An agreement was reached en travelling time, and baths will be provided on the large works. Arrangements were made fdr settling disputes on the job. Many of the demands had already been granted by Sir William Eraser, the la',o Minister, in certain places, but they were not generally applicable.
