The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner. Thermometer. Max. Min. Monday ..... 5G 53 Tuesday 01 57 Barometer. Tuesday 29.50 Wednesday 29.45 Yesterday heavy rain fell during the greater part of the day. Winds were from E.S.E. The barometer has fallen since yesterday, hut lias now a rising tendency. The indications are fur partly fair weather with occasional showers. Probably fair and overcast to-morrow, with winds from S.S.W.. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale and backing by north to west. The weather appears likely to be (cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers flooded. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising after about 10 hours.
