MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At ;i meeting of the Executive Committee of the Matamata A. and P. Association, Mr O. G. Payze (president) occupied the chair. Messrs R. and l'\ Harris were elected new members, and it was decided to commence a canvass for further members.
The chairman stated that the Association's yards had been removed from the old Showgrounds, and were now on the new grounds awaiting re-erec-tion. It was now only a question of letting a contract for the building of new yards.—The matter was left in the hands of the president and secretary, with power to act. Jt was also decided to accept Mr ('. Fitzgerald's oiler to remove and re-erect the home industries shed. The committee then commenced the revision of the schedule of prizes. In the hunter classes the prize money was substantially increased, the champion hunter prizes being fixed at Lot). It was decided to congratulate Sir W. H. Hcrries on his receipt of a knighthood.
