The trouble- started within the Reichstag itself, the Independents interrupting the proceedings. A resolution to adjourn was negatived, whereupon the Independents went lo the window and waved handkerchiefs. The demonstrators then attacked thebuilding, shouting "Down with Noske s troops." In a wild rush they disarmed the soldiers. The military brought up machine guns, and the crowd lied in a panic. A dozen civilians were kilted in the first discharge. The, Reichstag adjourned after suspending several Independents.
