APPEAL FOR RATIFICATION.

National organisations, representing millions of United States citizens, have appealed to Mr Wilson and Senators Lodge and Hitchcock to immediately ratify the Treaty. It is understood that the Republican “mild reservationists” have accepted the Democrats’ substitute for the Lodge reservation la Article X.

Mr Bryan is pressing for a compromise ,;uut advocates that the democrats should refrain from voting, thus permitting the Republicans to take the responsibility of 11 1 e immediate ratification of the Peace Treaty.
