There is a strike or miners in the Hanbron district in the Ruhr region. They demand a six-hour dhy and better food. After noting throughout the day a mob stormed the Town Hall, seizing arms. The disturbances later spread to other districts. Owing to the railway strike 500,000 lons ot coal for Berlin are held up. The interruption in coal production threatens to paralyse the entire Rhenish and Westphalian industrial regions.
