THE SHIPPING TROUBLE

A FUTILE CONFERENCE

STRIKE TO CONTINUE

(United Press Association.) Received January 14, 1.20 a.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 13

Mr Hughes then spent two hours in a talk with a member of the executive, but efforts to reach an agreement failed. The representatives leave for their homes to-night, and the strike continues.
