Yada (Consul-General in _ New York), who is now in Peking, m an interview, said that the Senate s Shantung amendment was inspired by disgust with Japan’s policy towards China- Americans always suspected Japan’s territorial ambitions in ChinaFrankly speaking, the relationship between ilapan and the United States was in a dangerous condition. A proposal was now afoot to send delegates, cornnosed of Japanese statesmen and business men, to the United States for the purpose of re-establishing friendly iclations between Japan and America.
