T ARRANGEMENTS IN AUSTRALIA.

MELBOURNE, Dec. 10.
The Defence Department have made arrangements for the flight of the arriving airmen across Australia from Port Darwin to Melbourne, via Cloncurry, Charleville, Bourke and Albury, where there will be stores of petrol and flying officers to advise the fliers will be established at various stations. This upsets the original proposals regarding the landing. There will he public receptions at Brisbane and Sydney. PREPARATIONS AT DARWIN. PORT DARWIN, Dec. 10. H.M.A.S. Sydney eft yesterday to patrol the airmen's route between Darwin and Timor. Everything is prepared for the landing at Darwin in a 100acre clearing near the beach.
