At Hamilton on Thursday, November 27 we held our weekly stock sale and yarded 470 cattle, 200 sheep and 140 pics We quote:—Fat cows, £ll 6s to £l2 17s 6d; lighter, £lO 10s to £11; fresh condition cows, £8 10s to £9 ss; store cows, £6 15s to £7 10b; two-year-old empty heifers, £7 2s 6d to £8 10s; smaller, £5 5s to £0 ss; Jersey yearling heifers to £7 Is; yearling steers, £4 4s to £5 10s; yearling heifers £3 4s to £4 ss; mixed sex yearlings, £2 10s to £3 lis. Fat ewes, woolly 38s; shorn fat ewes, 80si to 31s. "Weaner pigs, 35s to £2 ss; slips, £■2 4s to £3 2s; porkers, £4 to £4 los; baconers, £5 15s to £7.
WAIHOU SALE. At Waihou on Friday, November 28, w c held our fortnightly stock sale and yarded 700 head of cattle, 250 sheep and 140 pigs. We quote:—Fat cows, .£12:173 Od to £l3 15s; lighter, £lO l d to £ll ss; fresh conditioned cows, £d 12s 6d to £9 2s; store cows, £5 18s to £5 4s; choice two-year-old Jersey heifers, £9 15s to £ll ss; choice two-year-old Shorthorn empty heifers, £7 '7s 6d to £8; others. £6 5s to £6 15s; •rood yearliflg heifers £4 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d; others, £3 5s to £3 14s; good yearling steers, £4 3s to £4 12a 6d; small yearlings £2 6s to £2 12s 6d. Sheep: Shorn, fat ewes, 28s 6d; woolly ewes 34s 6d. Choice dairy cows, £U 10s to £26; others, £l2 to £l3; dairy heifers, £lO to £ll 10s. leaner pigs, 22s to 29s 6d; slips, £2 12s (>d to £2 15s; porkers, £4 4s to £4 10s; baconcrs £5 to £6 10s. DILWORTH PEDIGREE STOCK. In conjunction with Messrs Alf. Buckland and Sons, Ltd., we held a dispersal sale of the Dilworth School of Agriculture pedigree milking shorthorn -herd at Papatoetoe on Monday. There was 3 very large attendance and spirited bidding throughout. The imported cows made 51 gns., 90 gns., 9b gns 150 gns., 105 gns., 350 gns., 3G5 gns., 100 gns.; New Zealand milking Shorthorn herd book cows, 020 "•ns 120 gns., others from 30 gns. to 74 gns ; two-year heifers from imported cows, 6G gns. to 85 gns.; others 20 gns. to 50 gns.; yearling heifers, 180 gns., 100 gns., others 30 gns. lo 80 gns.; bull calves, 100 gns., 85 gns., 95 gns., 70 gns., 65 gns., 64 gns., others 20 gns. to 55 gns.; heifor calves up to 80 gns. The imported bull, "Marlborough of Darbalara, made 650 gns., and was bought by Mr Parkinson, of Opotiki. TIRAU SALE.
At our Tirau sale on the 3rd inst. wc yarded 650 head of cattle, 930 sheep and a few dairy cows and 400 pigs. Prices were fair. We quote:— Pat steers, £ls 10s to £l7 ss; fat cows, £l2 17s Gd to £ls 17s Gd; fresh conditioned cows, £ll to £ll 10s; store cows, £6 15s to £7 ss; three-vear-old steers, £8 7s Gd to £8 19s; 18-months' steers, £3 10s to £4 ss; f:it wethers. 37s Gd; ewes and lambs, 27s 3d to 35s 3d; pigs, £2 Is to £3.
