THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer. Max. Min. Wednesday 61 58 Thursday 61 52 Barometer. Thursday 30.0 Friday 30.0 Yesterday was partly fair and overcast, with occasional light showers, and brisk south-westerly winds. The barometer maintains its reading of 30.0. There has been no apparent change in the air pressure since Tuesday, and the weather conditions are likely to lemain the same as during the past few days. Indications are for fair and partly overcast weather during the next 48 hours, with occasional light showers. "Winds veering from south-west to a more northerly direction. Tile "Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds at times, "but decreasing. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. Barometer rising."
