(Received August 11, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, August 8 The Coal Controller has finally refused the Yorkshire miners' demands. There are indications that the strikers' funds will be exhausted in the next fortnight. It is stated in responsible circles that the collapse of the police strike is complete. The failure of the unauthorised action by the railwaymen has greatly strengthened the hands of the constitutional side of the Labour movement. PRINTERS OUT JN TOKIO. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received August 11, 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 10. A dispatch from Tokio stales that virtually all the newspapers there have suspended publication owing to a strike of the printers, who demand higher wages. Numerous other strikes in I "various parts of Japan are even affecting the Government establishments.
