Regret was expressed at losing such good neighbours, buthoped that our departing friends hava good time in their new home at Otorohanga. Mr Blain replied in his happy style, and expressed his appreciation of the manner in which we were farewelling them.
THE WEATHER AND THE FARM
The weather, although is quite satisfactory from a farming point of view, and there has been a noticeable and welcome growth of late, and stock are becoming rather more dainty in their tastes. The dairy farmers have brought their herds through the winter in a most creditable condition, and if as much improvement is accomplished during the next two years as durinp the past two, there will be little need for further improvement. One dairy farmer, who bought a considerable amount of turnips last year, has yet 50 acres of this season's swedes untouched.
