CONDITIONS IN BRITAIN. LEGISLATION PROMISED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received August 8, 11.5 p.m. LONDON, August 6. Sir R. S. Home, Minister for Labour, in the House of Commons, promised to introduce a Bill before the recess dealing with the recommendations of the Industrial Conference, fixing 48 hours as the maximum for industrial and commercial occupation, and also establishing minimum wages.
