theatre: royal. To-night's big change can be shown for this evening only as the theatre is required to-morrow night for the presentation of the notable international attraction, "To Hell with the Kaiser." T<->-night's special, star drama, "The Hand at the "Window" stars Margery Wilson, who has the support of J. Barney Sherry and a strong cast. It is a skilfully "constructed mystery play in which the puzzle is not solved until the end. Four excellent subjects will show in support. "TO HELI/WITH THE KAISER." This film sensation will be screened on Thursday at 2.30 and at 8 p.m.. and finally on Friday. It is described as "A great arraignment of Prussianism—a magnificent commingling of fact and imagination,,showing how Wilhelm of Gennany, signs a pact with Satan for the mastery of the world." The picture has attracted enormous attendances whenever shown. Box plans are at Paul's. KING'S THEATRE. The big picture feature at the King's Theatre to-night will be dashing Kitty Gordon, gorgeously arrayed in bewitching Oriental costumes in World's Bradvmade dramatic success, "Merely Players," a play dealing with the puppets on life's stage, in which she has the assistance of such recognised screen Thespians as Smiling Johnnie Hincs. Irving Ciimmings, Muriel Ostriche and George McQuarrie. A play within this plav is an elaborate performance of "Cleopatra," elaborately set, mounted, and costumed. Triangle will be represented by two large reels of real fun entitled. '"She Needed a Doctor." This comedy has been highly eulogised by the press. A nopular Budget is numbered amongst the supporting subjects. TOWN HALL. The type of picture that is nil too seldom seen is the star film showing to-night at the Town Hall. It is based on a. great French classic, A'icto' 1 HiWs "Himchba"k of Notre Dame," and features one of the world's greatest dramatic reformers, Theda Bara. When she appears it is a real dramatic event, and her fame extends throughout the world. The scenes of this play are based in Paris, and the romance upon which it. is based is on*» of the greatest classics of French literature. It is a stirring, powerful imaginative production, with situations which onlv an ac'ross of Theda. Barn's talent could adequately fill The lighter part of the programme is provided by <'i long Sunshine comedy, "Are -Married Policemen Safe." The=e comedies are infallible mirth provokers, the nresent one in particular. . Mutt and Jeff again nnoear, and are sure to meet with a great reception.
