The annual report was presented on behalf of the committee by Rev. H. W. Smith Mr J. E. Herbert. It stated:— During the past year the services have been well attended, and there has been a noticeable increase in the number of Communions made. In all there haVe been 104 celebrations, ana 889 Communions were made, not including Easter. The choir and organist have done much to add to the dignity of our worship. Parents owe a great debt of gratitude to Mr Coombes for the heavy work he has put in in connection with the Sunday School, and to the teachers, Mr Fricker and Misses Hodder, Gosling, Peglar and Flyger, for their faithful service. The Women's Guild has been hard at work in preparation for the sale of work to be held on May 7th. Mrs F. B. Jolly has resigned her position as president of the guild, and Mrs Herbert has been elected in her place. Mr and Mrs Jolly and their family will be missed greatly in every department of church work*. We still have £370 to wipe off tiie building fund. The Young People's Social Club promises to be a live organisation. Among other things a tennis court has been laid down at; the back of the church, at a cost of £22 10s. The finances of the church this year show a balance on the right side, which is very satisfactory. The report was adopted. General. The following church committee was elected: Messrs J. E. Herbert (secretary and treasurer), G. Edgecumbe, Hodder, Coombes, Beach, S. Tapp, Gilfillan and Fricker.
