The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Brernner: — Thermometer. «n Tuesday 62 4S Wednesday 63 47 Barometer. Wednesday R 0.40 Thursday 30-40 Yesterday continued fair, with light variable winds and cold aught, with fog. The barometer maintains its high reading of 30.40. Indications are for lair weather during the next 48 hours, with -variable winds and cold night; probably overcast to-morrow. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for south-easterly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by east to north. Expect dull weather, with much mist and log m parts, with change following. The barometer has a falling tendency.
