Russian messages indicate that the Bolshevists have suffered defeat on at fronts and are retreating pellmell between the Arctic and the Caspian, after unsuccessfully attempting to stane eastward of Kazan. The Poles continue to advance from Vilna. The British success in the White Sea region lias isolated a Bolshevist force at Olonetz, which the Finns captured Uneasiness prevails in the Faivet territories, where peasant risings are reported. MANY BOLSHEVIK PRISONERS. TORPEDO FLOTILLA CAPTURED.. Received April 30, 10 a.m. LONDON, April 29. German wireless messages state that the Karelian peasants, supported by Finnish volunteers, captured Olonetz and took 600 Bolsheviks prisoners. The Karelians have established a provisional government at Olonetz until the tional Assembly meets to determine th,e future constitution on the basis of selfdetermination. A Stockholm message states that the British at Shohskcnskoi heavily defeated a Bolshevik effort to rush reinforcements to Olonetz, and the Bolsheviks are now speedily retiring along the Onega river to prevent being trapped" Other Finnish forces reached the Murman railway junction and captured the Bolsheviks’ icebound torpedo flotilla! Other forces are advancing on Petrozavodsk, and the whole western portion) of the Olonetz province has been cleared.
