PLUNKET SOCIETY
SALE OF WORK AND BABY SHOW. The sale of work, under the auspices of the Hamilton branch of the Plunket Society, was continued on Saturday afternoon, in ihe T.M.S. Building. Good business resulted, the total proceeds amounting to about £9O. The names of Mesdames Blamires and Noonan were inadvertently omitted from the list of stallholders on Saturday. The Baby Show, for which there were 28 entries, and in which considerable interest was taken, resulted as follows : Over six monhts, and under one year.—Mrs Brooks, girl Cambridge, 1; Airs Holloway, Collingwood street, boy, 2: Mrs M. G. Bell, Liverpool street, boy, 3. Under six months.—Mrs Miles, Eureka, boy, 1; Mrs Clements. l\ototuna, girl, 2; Mrs Hemphill. Hardley street, girl, and Airs Innes, Hamilton, bov, tied for third place. It is noteworthy that all six prizewinners were breast-fed babies. This upholds th 0 Society’s first rule that baby slmuld have his natural food unless it is absolutely impossible to give it to him. MEETING AT TE AROHA. On ! Wednesday next ■ Airs E. O. Blarnlrhs' will address a: meeting at Te Aroha.i It is hoped to/arrange for the Plunkejt Nurse at Hamilton to visit Te Arpha once a week.
