Lieutenant-Colonel P. 0. Andrew, A.D.M.S., Auckland, was in Hamilton to-day.
Lieut-Golonel R. W. Gumming, of ihe 16th (Waikato) Regiment, has been awarded the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal. Mr H. J. McMullen, solicitor, of Hamilton, who has been absent on active service for some time, returned to the Dominion by the Ajana. Mr C. A. Cuff, manager of the Te Arolia branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has been appointed* inspector, with headquarters at Wellington. Mr G. E. Daniell, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board and a prominent Masterton business and public man, is spending a few days in Hamilton with his son, Mr. F. G. Daniell. Mr A. P. Green, inspector of the chief branches of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, has been appointed manager of the Auckland branch in succession to Mr H. Bucklcton, who has been appointed general manager. Mr Green joined the service of the Bank of New Zealand on February Ist, 1875, and has acted as manager of branches in many of the larger centres. He was appointed inspector for the North Island jn 1904, and senior inspector-in 1916.
