AN ALL-AMERICAN FRONT
AMERICANS BEING WITHDRAWN FROM THE ANOLO-FRENCH ARMIES. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) Received September 1, 5.5 p.m. NEW YORK, August 31. Mr Charles Grasty, the press correspondent, cables from Paris: "With three months' battle experience to guide the American troops, the French and British recognise that the best results will henceforth be obtainable by the organisation of an all-American front, allowing the Americans to complete their own training, furnish their own supplies, and assume complete control on the front. The time for brigading the American troops with the French and British has passed." WASHINGTON, August 30. General P. C. March, Chief of Staff, states that the United States* troops are withdrawing from the British and French brigades in order to join the Ist American Army, which is now being formed.
