The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken m. S a.m daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James liremner:— Thermometer. Max. Min. Friday 54 40 Saturday (>.j 45 Barometer. Saturday 30.40 -Monday 30.25 The weather continued fine during the past 48 hours, with light northerly winds and cold nights. The high pressure has been slightly reduced since Saturday's reading. The barometer still stands above the average height. The weather will continue fine to-day and become .partly overcast to-morrow, with winds from a northerly direction and higher temperature. The Weather Bureau wires:—The indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds prevailing, and freshening. Tlie weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled, with rain following. Barometer falling.
