AN EXCEPTION THAT PROVES THE RULE.
To the Manager, Paul's Rook Arcade, Dear Sir, For fifteen years I have been purchasing my books from Mr Pav.l, and I am very surprised to find nov/ that my children are going to attend the high school at Hamilton that you are unable to supply ms with the necessary ooks. Paul's Book Arcade replies:— Dear Madam,— You will no doubt be interested to learn that the Hamilton High School is a close corporation that is conducted on somewhat usique lines; you will probably agree with us that any person who wrote a courteous letter to the principal of any public school in the world asking for a list of books, etc., that were being used at the institution would have the request granted. However, the Hamilton High School is the exception, the Principal, backed by the Board of Governors, have always refused to supply a list of books to us. It would be interesting to know why? When we hear we will write you. Always esteeming y<nir favours Yours Faithfu.iv, PAUL'S HOOK A MCAI73.
