TREATIES DENOUNCED

DRASTIC FRENCH PREPARATIONS. FOR POST-WAR ECONOMIC OFFENSIVE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 27. MS a.m. PARIS, April 26. The Government has taken a decisive move regarding a post-war economic offensive. Henceforth France will denounce all the most-favoured nation commercial treaties, also 52 conventions regarding commerce, navigation and Customs. France's bold step, which it is believed has been taken in complete agreement with the Allies, leaves her free tor whatever new commercial and maritime Customs status she may intend to adopt. The denunciations include trade treaties with neutrals in order to pave the way for the altered post-war situation. This is the first step towards an economic alliance among the Allies, which the Central Powers greatly dread. -
