THE BUDGET
SMALL EFFECT ON STOCK EXCHANGE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 25, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, April 24. The Budget has affected the Stock Exchange to a very small extent, except that four per cent tax on free war bonds rose to 101 J, following on the Chancellor's raising of the issue price to owing to the increased income tax. Brewery, distillery, and confectionary shares are practically unaltered.
