After a lot of discussion, Mr Varney moved, aud Mr Bennett (City) seconded, the following amendment, "That the I'nion adhere to the grade of play in force for the season 1917, and, i'f - sufficient inducement offers and playiig grounds are available, that tlie «- .noil start a competition for plavers over the age of 20 years on June 1." The first meeting of the Management Committee will be held at the Baths on Saturday night at eight o'clock. SCHOOLS' RUGBY UNION. At a meeting held on Tuesday it was resolved to form a Hamilton Schools Rugby Union, consisting of one aelegate from each competing school, with power to elect the officials from their number. The schools represented were High School, Hamilton West, Hamilton East, Fraukton, Convent and Southwell, and the officials elected were:—President, Mr Eraser; vicepresidents, Messrs Day, Matthews and Sergei; secretary and treasurer, Mr roonuu The weight limit was fixed at Bst. and it was decided to affiliate with tlie Hamilton Rugby Union, Mr Toomr.r ''tin;: appointed a delegate to that iiociv.
