EFFORTS AT SALVING FAIL
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 24, 10.50 a.m. STOCKHOLM, April 23. It has found impossible to salve tihe German battleship Rheinkrv', which was reported to have gone ashore or struck a mine at the Aaland Islands, tfnd the vessel is a complete wreck. The Rheinland (18,600 tons) was launched in 1910, costing £1,82-5,01 HJ. She had twelve llin, twelve 5.9 in, sixteen 3.4 in guns and six submerged torpedo tubes. Her complement was'B6l.
