Unionists are decidedly hostile to Lord Lensdowne's proposals:. One described them as an act of treachery. The Administration, while approving of the re-statement of the war aims, disagrees t with Lord Lansdowne's apparent willingness to negotiate with the present German Government. Mr Wilson adheres to the attitude that he will not discuss peace terms except with a Government responsible to the Reichstag. A DISASTROUS LETTER. REPUDIATED BY UNIONIST PARTY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received Dec. 1, 1.20 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 30. A meeting of the leaders of the Unionist Party, including Mr Walter Long and delegates from all the party branches in the country, strongly repudiated Lord Lansdowne's letter. Mr Bonar Law describes the letter as disastrous.
