CITY DEFEAT OLD BOYS. ST. MARY'S SCORE FROM SCHOOL. GREAT GAMES. At Steele Park on Saturday a large crowd of spectators assembled to witness the meeting of City and Old Boys. This match has been creating considerable interest in foot! all circles for the last fortnight, and Saturday's game gave sufficient proof of another great battle when teams meet again. Until the whistle sounded for half-time both teams were even. Gillies then secured a try for City, and after that City field si ghtly the upper baud. Nevertliel: ss Old Boys played well, and they we:e close on scoring several times. About ten minutes before tim■.< Gillii's scored another try for City, and they left the field G points to nil. The outstanding back of City was Johnston, thought Harrison and Gillies played well. Hunt, at full baek, was sate, and Buckingham, at five-eighths, played up to his usual good form. CITY BEAT OLD BOVS. HIGH SCHOOL WIN* FROM ST. MARY'S. City beat Old Boys at Steele Park by 23 points to nil. For the winners Zeigler, Bain, Crawford, Coombes and Jacques scored tries, while Wetherall and Hooper converted on two occasions. Hooper also kicked a penalty goal. High School I eat St. Mary's by 2G points to nil. SCHOOL MATCHES. Saturday's school matches resulted as follows: Frankton beat Hamilton West by G to nil.
