Another of the pioneer settlers of Wa kato, in the person of Mrs Nickle (relict of the late Mr Robert Nickle) passed away yesterday at the residence of her son, Mr J. Nickle, Pukekura. The deceased, who came to the district 40 years ago, was a settler of the fine old sturdy stamp, and was closely identified witli the progress of the district, being well known and highly esteemed by those of the older generation. She wai the mother of a family of six sons and one daughter, and attained the ripe age of four score years and four. The funeral wil Heave the residence of Mr J. B. Nickle, Pukekura, for the Leamington cemetery to-morrow (Tuesday). The committee set up to represent the Discharged Soldiers' Information Department in the Te Awamutu district will consist of- Mr A. S. Wallace (Mayor) chairman, Colonel J. G. \>ynyard, Rev. D. F. Shaw, and Messrs B. McGechie, M. C. Lawson, J. H. j Dwen, and L. G. Armstrong secretary.
