FARMERS' SALEYARDS
At the statutory meeting of the Poverty Bay Saleyards Company the report of the provisional directors was summarised as follows: —The total number of shares allotted at date was 10,038; cash received on shares £4689 10s; and the total payments tiad been £',257 IPs 6d, which sum included 'purchase of land, material for yards, preliminary expenses, etc. In movinjr the adoption of the report,, the chairimmediately with tiie erection of firstclass yards, with up-to-date conveniences, and the yards, when completed, would cost approximately £SOOO. He congratulated shareholders on securing the services of-Mr Frank Evans as their auctioneer, and also said that during the first six weeks of the company's operations a profit of £IOO had been made. The report was unanimously adopted.
