ALLEGED SEDITIOUS UTTERANCE. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The police yesterday arrested P. C. Webb, M.P. for Grey, on two charges of having made seditious utterances in two speeches, one of which was delivered in the municipal elections campaign at Greyniouth. He was taken South in custody in last night's ferry steamer. The Greymouth municipal elections were fought on the compulsory service issue. Six anti-conscriptionist candidates contested the poll, not one being returned.
