ANTI-GERMAN RISING
MANY CASUALTIES IN RIO. (Reuter's Telegrams.) Received April 20, 1.30 a.m. RIO DE JANEIRO, April 19. Mobs attacked 200 Germans at Porto Alegro, and burned many houses. There were a number of casualties. The proprietor of a German hotel fired upon an anti-German mob, and a veritable reign of terror followed. Received April 20, 9.55 a.m. RIO DE JANIERO, April 19. The mobs burnt several German stores and buildings at Porto Alegro. IN ARGENTINA. PRO-WAR MOVEMENT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 20, 9.55 a.m. BUENOS AYRES, April 19. The police suppressed fresh pro-war disorders, and are guarding the German buildings.
