The Hons. Sir J as. Allen and W. D. S. Macdonald are to-day visiting the colliery townships of Denniston, Granity, and Ngakawan in connection with the miners' strike.

HOMES FOR WIVES AND FAMILIES.
(By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCH URCH, Monday
A big meeting of Labour supporters last night discussed the municipal elections and the labour outlook with reference to the West Coast miners. The following resolution was unanimously adopted :—"That this meeting of Christchurch citizens send greetings to the miners, and offer homes for their wives and children if they send them over."
It is stated that arrangements are in hand to house 1000 women and children if necessary.
