ENTERTAINMENTS

BAKER'S CIRCUS. The circus was well patronised last night, and those who attended were delighted with the programme. The claim of the management, that every performer is a star in his or her department, and that all acts are true to the billing, was fully demonstrated, and the programme can, without equivocation, be described as an excellent one, including many novel and unique items. The tight-rope work of Miss Kathleen , Baker was a feature of the evening, as was also the turn of Miss Barbarina, the lady contortionist. There were some excellent exhibitions of trick riding, while the clowns and dummies by their antics and sallies kept the audience in a state of laughter. The circus will appear again this evening.
