The attendance at the saleyards yesterday was good, but buyers were rather scarce, beef and cattle prices remaining practically the same as last week.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report having yarded as follows:—311 cattle, 382 sheep, and 118 pigs. Prices realised were:—Fat cows, £l2 5s to £l2 15s; lighter sorts, £ll 3s to £ll 14s; fat heifers, up to £l2; 2£ to 3£-year steers £l3 3s, 18months' steers £8 19s to" £9 Is, freshconditioned store cows £9 5s to £9 15s, others £6 to £8 10s, cows and calves £8 15s to £lO, fifteen to eighteen months' heifers £5 ,2s 6d to £6 15s, eighteen-months' heifers in calf £7 Is to £7 17s 6d, bulls £9 15s to £ll 17s 6d. calves (steer) £3 12s to £4 15s, mixed calves £3 Bs, forward Shorthorn springing heifers £ll to £l3 ss, datrv cows £lO 12s 6d to £l3, fat sheep 35s to 365, fat lambs 24s to 29s 4d, store lambs 19s 3d to 21s, cull lambs 13s 7d, porkers £2 6s to £2 19s, slips 19s to 275. weaners 10s to 12 8 6d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Hamilton stock sale on Thursday we quote:—Fat cows £ll 2s to £l3 ss, light weights £9 7s 6d to £lO 15s, store cows £7 12s to £B, 2i-year-old steers £ll 10s, eighteen months' steers £8 12s to £9 7s 6d, cows and calves £9 7s 6d to £9 15s, eighteen months' heifers £6 17s 6d to £7 2s 6d, calves (mixed sexes) £4 5 S to £5 ss, others £2 10s to £3, woolly lambs 15s 6d to £l, two and four-tooth wethers £1 lis, porkers £1 17s to £2 7s, slips £1 to £1 Bs, weaners 8s 6d to 13s.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report yarding 80 cattle and 60 pigs, the prices realised being as follows:—Sows and litter 25s to £2, boars 20s to 30s, slips 12s to 188 6d, suckers 10s, cows and heifers £9 10s to £ll, store cows £7 10s to £8 Tss, heifer calves £2 to £3 2s 6d, steer calves £3 to £3 7s 6d.
