WOMAN SUFFRAGE. MR ASQUITH A CONVERT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received March 29, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, March 28. In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith moved the adoption of the report of the speaker's conference on the Electoral Reform Bill, and announced his conversion to woman's suffrage. Mr Lloyd George supported the motion, and urged an early non-party settlement. In the interests of the whole Empire's post-war reconstruction, he opposed as dilatory the Unionist amendment.
