SILVER BULLET CANNONADE
ENTERTAINMENT IN TOWN HALL.
In conjunction with the "Paddy's Market' to be held on Ferry Bank next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Mr Lints will stage an entertainment edth evening, in the Town Hall, at which some.of the most popular items of the Reveille will lie repeated and the charge is only Is to all parts of the house (children half-price). -No doubt the public will take the opportunity of seesome, of the most popular items ever staged in Hamilton. The programme will run for three-quarters of an hour, and then there - will be a break for three-quarters of an hour, which will enable the public to visit the "market,' see the various displays and exhibitions, and then return and see the second half of the programme. The final arrangements have now been made for plenty of music, and .Mr Wilson is busily engaged carrying out the special lighting of the ground. Representatives of the various armieslfave been out in the country, and have been well received by the farmers, with the result that they will have "plenty of produce, etc., for sale at the-various stalls. Admission to the grounds is by wearing an official Army Button. The tug-of-war between the various armies is in the hands of Mr McKinnon and Mr Webb, the heats of which will be pulled off on the first night. The ferry steamers are in the hands of Mr Mitchell. The procession will commence at London street at 7.15. and, headed bv the Frankton Band, will march to the Ferry Bank. The procession is under the supervision of Mr Hodd. Arrangements have been made for a display during the "market" by the fire brigade with the fire engine, also physical drill exhibitions by the schools. Everything is well forward for the Swimming Carnival to be held on Saturday afternoon, which will be run under the direction of the Hamilton Amateur Swimming Club. Special novelty events have been arranged for, including an exhibition of the Monte Christo Act by Mr Lints, the organiser. . A meeting of performers will be held at the Town Hall to-night at 7.80. re the final night in the Theatre on Wednesday next. v
