Mr Kennedy Jones, member for Hornsey Division of Middlesex, has been appointed Director-General of the Food Economy Department, and will co-operate with Lord Devonport, Food Controller, in the general direction of food supplies. He proposes to establish maAy local committees to keep a daily record of the stocks of food and check over-consumption wherever it occurs. He favours the formation of municipal larders and public kitchens.
