A GREAT SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY
It has been discovered by Sir William Crookes, the eminent scientist, th.it ordinary sunlight possesses certain rays which are distinctly harmful to vision and cause painful eye-strain. Following on this discovery, Sir William has invented a most ingenious spectacle lens, which has the marvellous property of "throwing oft" these harmful rays of ligbt and thus protecting and preserving the sight. Although possessing this wonderful property these lens are almost identical in appearance to an ordinary spectacle pebble. H. GROCOTT, M.P.S., N.Z., Sight Specialist and Optometrist* of Hamilton, has succeeded in obtaining a complete range of these lenses, and is now prepared to fit them to either eye-glasses or spectacles. Although the very latest scientific methods of testing are used, no charge is made for sight testing, and most perfect results aie absolutely guaranteed— Mr Grocott's charges for glasses are at least 2.5 per cent less than Auckland nriecs. Note the address:— H. GROCOTT, M.P.S.N.Z., Certificated Optometrist (New South Wales qualification), Manning's Main Pharmacy, right opposite Theatre Royal, Hamilton.* i
